This pair of carving was used originally to decorate the roof of the buildings. They were carved in the lovely silhouette of Hong. Hong is a mythical bird of infinite grace. As an auspicious creature, it symbolizes miracles and was widely used as a motif in royal architectural designs in Southeast Asia.
